Lintel Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

Lintel is made by PlainworkApps ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Lintel does with information. The short version: Lintel keeps everything on your phone, and we don't collect it.

What Lintel stores, and where

Lintel stores the following only on your phone: property and unit names and addresses, inspection checklists and notes, photos you take or choose, signatures you or others draw, tenant names you enter, your settings, and, if you turn on app lock, a PIN. The PIN is stored as a one-way hash in the phone's protected storage, not as the PIN itself. None of this is sent to us or to any server we run. We have no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking.

Permissions

Sharing a report

When you tap "Share" on a PDF, Lintel hands the file to the Android share sheet and you choose where it goes (an email app, a messaging app and so on). Lintel does not see or store who receives it. Once shared, the recipient's handling of the PDF is outside our control. A report contains personal information about the tenant, such as their name, the unit's address, photos and a signature, so share it only with people who should have it.

Purchases

Lintel Unlock is bought through Google Play. Google processes your payment and keeps your payment details; we don't receive them. Lintel asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Lintel Unlock so it can unlock the app. Google's own privacy policy applies to that exchange.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your phone until you delete it in the app or uninstall Lintel, which removes it. Because we hold no copy, we cannot retrieve it for you or delete it from a server. Lintel turns off Android cloud backup for its data, so it does not move to a new phone by itself.

If you handle tenants' information

When you record a tenant's name, photos or signature, you are the one handling that information. You are responsible for following the privacy and recordkeeping laws that apply to you, including telling tenants what you record if the law requires it.

Children

Lintel is for adults and is not directed to children.

Selling information

We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and the copy in the app.
